Mijn Gouden boekje over Tula

Around Ketikoti, we read a beautiful Little Golden Book about Tula. Tula actually really existed, a very long time ago. He was a slave and a resistance fighter against slavery on Curaçao. He encouraged the other slaves to rise up against authority together, and it worked.

Our little monsters find it an exciting book because it does not end well for Tula. Fortunately, thanks to him, slavery did come to an end, although Tula himself did not live to see it. You may understand that Tula is a hero in the history of Curaçao!

A beautiful Golden Book! With illustrations in warm colours by D'Avellonne van Dijk and a story told in clear language by author Milouska Meulens.
