The Mole series by the Belgian children's book author Marieke van Hooff is very popular here. Little Mole and his friends live in a brightly colored world and they experience the adventures that our toddlers and preschoolers also experience. Nothing's better than recognizable adventures, which is why we like to read these picture books to them.
There are now 8 parts published with Mol in the lead role, Part 1 and part 2 from 2020 are called Mole helps Mouse and Mole celebrates Christmas (Only in Dutch). The next 6 parts were all published in 2021. The stories are not only funny but the illustrations by Henk van der Gugten are super cute. They contribute a lot to our toddlers' love for Mole!
