Morgen ben ik vrij

To help the little monsters to better understand what slavery means for the children of people who have been enslaved, we read Morgen ben ik vrij - verhalen over slavernij (Tomorrow I Will Be Free – stories about slavery).

This wonderful book for children was written by various well-known authors and beautifully illustrated by illustrator Roeqiya Fris.

The 10 stories in this book are based on true stories and took place long ago. In the Netherlands, but also in Indonesia and Africa. They paint a vivid picture for children of today of what life was like for their peers back then.
