Mr. Mischief and the Leprechaun

On St. Patrick's Day, we're reading a really fun book from the Mr. Men and Little Miss series. Mr. Mischief looks surprised when he showers in the morning with cold water coming out of the hot tap and hot water coming out of the cold tap. How is that possible? When he goes to eat his breakfast, someone else is sitting on his chair, eating off his plate. Who is this strange little man?

Turns out it is a Leprechaun! Everyone in Ireland knows that the leprechauns—called leprechauns there—are incredibly mischievous and always playing pranks on you. Mr. Mischief finds that really funny, though; he's a teasers himself! He asks shall we tease together? Of course, says the Leprechaun! Will this end well for Mr. mischief?

British author Roger Hargreaves created, wrote, and illustrated the hilarious Mr. Men and Little Miss series. When he died suddenly, his son Adam Hargreaves continued the series. It's safe to say, seamlessly. Adam Hargreaves has since created quite a few new titles and they're still just as funny and widely read as ever. How amazing is that? :)))
