What do you need?
Red and blue felt
matching yarn and a needle
fiber fill or another filling
small piece if black and white felt
The kids love yesterday's book of the week about Natalie and Alphone so much we want to surprise them with soft toys from the story. You do not need much material and they are made quickly. We fold the felt in half so we cut both sides in one go. And ... we already drew a pattern for you ;)
How to make Natalie
Cut out the pattern and pin it to the felt.
Cut out - folded double - all loose parts,
Remove the pattern the pin arms, legs and ears together.
Sew the ears, arms and legs, leave an opening.
Sewing tips:
- If you sew the dolls by hand make sure you pull the stitches tight
- We sew the straight lines on the sewing machine and the curves like the hands and ears by hand
- Do not forget to always tie off tightly
Turn out and fill arms, legs and ears.
Pin them between the body, leave a bit open.
Sew the body together thenturn it out.
Sew the fill opening closed, sew on felt eyes and mouth.
Make Alphonse in exactly the same way.
