Today we're finally going to the National Video Game Museum in Zoetermeer! During the Summer vacation the Museum is also open on Mondays. Our little monsters have been looking forward to it for a week :))) and today it's finally the day! The monsters are already in a great mood!

The first impression was overwhelming: so many games to play! The little monsters didn't know what to choose first, with so much light and sound. But that quickly passed. Everything was layed out very well on handy signs, they showed us perfectly were to go. There were also fun signs with various funny facts!

After a good while of gaming on those big machines, it was time for something to eat, snack and drink, and you can definitely find that here! There were pancakes (poffertjes) and hot dogs, as well as various delicious sandwiches with all sorts of toppings. (But you probably already know what the monsters choose ;)) After that, there's even more to choose from, like slush puppies, bubble tea, or ice cream with every topping you can think of, and you get to choose again!

The staff is really friendly, patient with small children, and very attentive. You get a buzzer that goes off when your order is ready, very handy. It was super fun, and we tried almost everything :))

After our visit to the restaurant, we continue our exploration of the museum, which is truly much fun. Even more so than anyone expected, fun for both parents and mini-monsters. We travel through time, exploring various rooms of young gamers in different time zones. The rooms are perfectly decorated and give a good sense of the era, right down to the posters on the wall. How cool is that? :))
We also see display cases with the coolest costumes from famous games and all sorts of other fan merchandise. The monsters love it; they can't get enough of it. Every time, something new and special is discovered. :))
