As summer draws slowly to a close, at the end of August, we still have plenty of raspberries in the garden, which harvest will continue until October/November. The blackberry was planted last spring, so we're proud of the first blackberry ;)), their season is just beginning.

The red currant harvest is nearing it's end; this is more or less the last bowl. But the most beautiful (non-edible) berries are now starting to appear on the bushes, some faster than others. Besides the colourful summer flowers, the berries also add a lot of colour to the garden.

Wherever there are empty spaces in the garden, we fill them with organic plants. We visit Trompenburg Gardens for new plants. Or we order seeds, bulbs, and plants online. One of our regular online resources is Sprinklr The plants are beautiful, and Sprinklr has lots of wildflowers if you enjoy a pick-your-own garden.

The weather is still nice, so we're holding off on tidying up the garden. Autumn will arrive soon, and then there will be plenty to do. We'll plant bulbs again and prune what needs pruning. But for now, we're enjoying the sunshine and relax, just watching the beautiful flowers, bees and butterflies in the garden.

We're wishing you many more sunny days in the garden!
