We are reading a beautiful book with our little monsters on Ketikoti: On the Back of Bigi Kaayman. The book is based on a true story, according to legends from long ago.

It has everything a good story needs. Even though it is very sad, it is also exciting, and fortunately, it ends well for the children in this story.

The unique illustrations by Hedy Tjin, brilliant in bright and warm colours, give the story depth. You can see how hard the people and children had to work in the burning sun. A very beautiful book that every child should read.
