We found these two wooden bunnies online, at our favorite felt shop. They're completely unfinished, so we'll sand them first and then paint them a sweet colour. Then we'll dress them up: we're making dungarees for the boy and a dress for the girl. That looks great! Print the little patterns and cut them out, then you can get started!
How to make these Easter bunnies
We paint the bunny girl white.
Mix brown paint with some white.
Paint the boy light brown.
Let the paint dry first.
- Paint the front of the bunnies and let the paint dry.
- Then paint the back and let the paint dry again.
- Paint both narrow sides and let the paint dry once more.
Repeat this entire process!
Pin the pattern on felt.
Neatly cut out all the parts.
Sew the pocket on the on the trousers.
Sew the pocket on the opposite side.
Stick the pants on the front of the bunny..
Flip the bunny over and stick e on the second site.
Stick the short strip on the back, the long one on the front.
While the glue is drying you make the dress
Lace a thread through the piece of fabric.
Pull the thread thightly and tie it off.
Sew the back closed and sew the seam.
Cut a small rectangle out of the narrow front side, so the paws can stick out through the gap
Paint a simple face on both sides of the bunnies.
Paint on pink inner ears as well and allow the paint to dry.
The little monsters love the wooden bunnies and they will also look cute on the table, on Easter Day breakfast!
Wishing you a happy Easter Day!
