470 ml of almond milk
35g caster sugar
2 tablespoons of almond milk
35g custard powder
4 large peaches
1 roll of ready-made puff pastry
1 sprig of lavender
icing sugar
Baking a Summery French-inspired, simple quickly-ready-tart with fresh fruit is super easy to do! Pick out large, ripe peaches and you can't go wrong. Making the crème pattisière is your work half done.
How to make the Peach and Lavender tartere
Preheat the oven to 190°C and place an empty baking tray in it.
Placing the tart on a hot baking tray will ensure the bottom cooks nicely.
Stir a custard paste with the thablespoons milk.
Put the milk on medium heat and dissolve the sugar in it.
Keep stirring, ad the paste and bring the milk to a boil.
While stirring allow the custard thicken in a few minutes.
Pour the custard in a bowl and let it cool.
Peal the peaches, remove the stones and cut in slices.
Roll out the dough, roll up the edge all around and prick holes.
Spread the crème on the dough, place the peaches on top.
Sprinkle the tart with a thin layer of icing sugar.
Bake the tart in 20 to 30 minutes golden brown and cooked.
Allow the tart to cool a minute on the baking tray, then on a wire rack.
The choice is yours to eat the Peaches and Lavender Tart hot (warm) or cold (room temperature), both very tasty!
