1 roll ready made pizza dough
1 bottle of Mutti tomato sauce
1 bag of Apetina mozzeralla/cheddar
some basil leaves
plain flour, to dust the baking tray with
a small piece of Parmesan, to taste
It is almost time again ... Already a recipe for Sinterklaas eve for a snack almost no one can resisist, pizza wheels. Quick and easy to make, warm cheesy and super tasty. But start ahead of time, on the night!
How to make pizza wheels
Roll out the dough on the paper that comes with it.
Spread a layer of tomato sauce on the dough.
Sprinkle the tomato sauce generously with cheese.
Scatter on some finely cut or shredded basil leaves.
Roll up the dough again in the paper and let it rest for 30 minutes in the fridge.
Cut the roll (seam on the underside) in approximately 12 pieces.
Place the wheels on flour dusted paper then grate on Parmesan cheese.
Preheat the oven to 200°C then bake the wheels for +/- 15 minutes.
Cut the edges neatly smooth.
You can serve the pizza wheels hot or cold. Snazzie wishes you already a Happy Sinterklaas eve!
