1 bag of corn for popping
1 tablespoon of sunflower oil
icing sugar, to sprinkle the popcorn with
100g of white chocolate
2 tablespoons of double cream
a few drops of green food colouring
Halloween cups and chocolate coins (HEMA)
Today we make very gross popcorn, popcorn with witches snot! After all, it's almost Halloween and then we only eat horrid things of course. We only dripped the top layer of the popcorn with snot (white chocolate with green colouring). The popcorn underneath is sweetened with some icing sugar to prevent an overdose of chocolate ;)
Heat 1 tablespoon of sunflower oil in a thickbottomed pan.
Pour in a layer of corn then put the lid on the pan.
With the heat between medium and low you hear the corn pop.
When the popping stops the popcorn is ready.
Carefully remove the hot lid from the pan, because of the heat but also because sometimes some popcorn may unexpectedly fly around your ears ;)
Toss the hot popcorn with the icing sugar.
Throw away the uncooked corn at the bottom of the pan.
Bring a layer of water in a saucepan to the boil.
Turn of the heat as soon as the water boils.
Break the chocolate into pieces then put it in a fireproof dish.
Put the bowl on the pan, let the chocolate melt slowly.
Stir the cream into the almost melted chocolate.
Then stir in the green food colouring as well.
Drip the green chocolate generously over the popcorn.
