It's Dutch Pancake Day again, so that means searching for a special recipe. The kids love pancakes but on a special day the pancakes should be special too. Those of last year - thanks to our Flamish neighbors - were super delicious! Today we bake - one day only - rainbow pancakes because it can not be Pancake Day every day ;)
How to make Rainbow Pancakes
Sieve the four in a bowl.
Put eggs and milk into a bowl.
Beat milk and eggs fluffy.
Add flour and vanilla sugar.
Beat all into a smooth batter.
Divide the batter between bowls.
Stir in the colours.
How to bake the pancakes
- Heat the pan and melt a knob of butter in it.
- Scoop with a sauce spoon batter into the pan and turn the heat low.
- bake the pancake slowly until cooked, mind it doesn't turn brown.
- flip it for a second, slide it through the pan and let it glide out.
Bake the pancakes on low heat.
Slow baking keeps the colour.
Stack the pancakes on a warm plate.
Happy Pancake Day!
