Just back from the arrival of Sinterklaas, we need something warm and hearty. If you are waiting on the quay for a while it is quite chilly! But the mood was really good again and that helped, the mini-monsters are still a bit bouncy ;)) These simple, hearty, quicly ready Rookworst bread rolls are surely not so healthy but oh they are so tasty! We make three buns with and 3 without mustard-mayonnaise because the mini-monsters do not like it ;)
How to make Rookworst Bread Rolls
Preheat the oven to 180°C and place a silicon mat on your baking tray
Place the rookworst 20 minutes in hot water.
Open the tin as indicated on the instructions.
Cut the croissants apart from each other.
Cut the sausage in 3 parts.
Cut the 3 parts lenghtwise in half.
Roll the sausage in the bread rolls.
Place the rolls on the baking mat.
Brush musterd-mayonnaise on the other 3 rolls.
Bake the rookworst bread rolls in 12-15 minutes golden.
Allow the rolls to coll slightly on a wire rack.
And tonight? Schoenzetten!
