Today is the day, it is Saint Patrick's Day! We are going to finish the cake pops later, first we have to make the buttercream. But when the little monsters come home from school, we are going to have a fun tea. party, with cake pops included!

How to make the cake pops

Cut off the brown edge of the cake.

Crumble the cake coarsely, with your hands.

Add the buttercream to the cake crumbs.

Knead the buttercream into the cake.

Weigh 20g pieces of dough.

Roll it into balls between your hands.

That way, they are all the same size.

When the candy melts are just melting...

Dip the sticks into the candy melts.

Insert the sticks into the balls.

Let the sticks dry first.

Then dip the little balls into the candy melts and cover them completely

Tapp the balls off on the rim of the glass.

Place the candy pops in a glass.

But try to not let them dry

  • Have the cake pops dried to much to stick the sprinkles on? Then brush a thin layer of candy melts over the cake pops
  • If the leftover candy melts in the jar have become too hard, put the jar back on the pan with hot water for a minute

Dip de cake pops into the sprinkles.

Allow the cake pops to dry well.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
