Shopping list
1/2 can (200g) sweetened condensed milk
250g white chocolate (chips or chunks)
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
green food colouring (optional)
green and golden sprinkles
We are making fudge (toffee) for St. Patrick's Day, a popular candy in Great Britain and the USA. It is vanilla fudge, so we are not colouring it green; since food colouring isn't really necessary, we prefer to leave it out. However, we are including it in the shopping list to leave you the choice.
The little monsters help with scattering the sprinkles , a job they like a lot. But they don't get it; the fudge looks funny, but they don't like it at all. Of course, we at snazzie have a solution for that problem, just take a look at the last photo ;)))
How to make St. Patrick's Day Fudge
Chop the chocolate finely.
Add halve the can of condensed milk to a pan
Add the chocolate chips to the pan.
Stir the milk and chocolate together.
Add the vanilla extract.
Put the pan on medium heat.
Let the chocolate melt while stirring.
This way, you can easily pour the mixture into the mold.
Fill the mold with the fudge mixture and let it set.
Then press the sprinkles softly into the fudge.
To let the fudge set faster, put it in the fridge.
Carefully press the St. Patrick's Fudge out of the mold.
Serve the fudge on a platter and make it look festive.
For the younger monsters, we sprinkle candies in between the fudge; the older monsters like the fudge very much!
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
