You can make these beautiful Waldorf stars quickly and easily, a child can do it. The kite paper stars look beautiful on the windows with Hanukkah. We make them in the traditional colours but you can make them in any colour you like. Buy coloured kite paper in a block or on a roll and cut it yourself. Then you can decide the size of the stars.
Make a template first
Draw a 22 x 22cm square on the cardboard.
Cut out the cardboard square.
Cut out 8 squares of kite paper.
How to fold Waldorf stars
Fold the kite paper diagonally in half.
Fold it open, turn it and repeat the fold.
Fold open, fold 2 points to the middle line.
Fold from the left point to the line in the middle, repeat.
The first point of the star is ready, fold 7 more points in the same way
You can make the points in 1 colour or in various colours.
Stick the points on top of each other on the middle line.
Stick the final point onto the one you glued on last.
Glue the same last point under the first point you glued too.
Stick the star on the window using adhesive tape.
It looks beautiful, we also make smaller stars in the same way. Happy Hannukah!
