We make stewed pears for the monsters! No whole pears with stems and a dash of wine for the kids, of course not! We cut the pears in quarters, peel them and cut out the core. We sweeten the pears with sugar. We 'forget' the cinnamon, which is not healthy for children anyway, and add red berry juice in contrast to the sweet. The juice also gives the pears an even nicer colour. This way the little monsters like stewed pears!
