One of the funniest picture books we lately read to the kids must be Hoot Owl, master in disguise, by British author Sean Taylor. Not only mini monsters find the story hilarious, it's really great fun to read it to them.
The rhyming text is wonderful! Hoot Owl fancies himself a very clever master of disguise, the superhero type. He is very confident in his quest to catch dinner. Thankfully his dinner plans undergo a last minute change in the menu.
The bright, bold, clever illustrations by Jean Jullien in combination with the witty, original story from Sean Taylor is just irresistable!
