Shopping list
250ml mayonnaise
2 tablespoons capers, roughly chopped
80g cornichons (pickles), roughly chopped
2 shallots, finely chopped
2 hard boiled, free range eggs, grated
½ lemon, juiced
2 tablespoon flat parsley, chopped
sea salt & freshly ground pepper
(We publish a day early, just in case you want to join us ;) ) Day after tomorrow, on the last day of the World Cup 2018, we make a festive meal for the kids. After all the excitement of the past weeks, we will finally have a winner (EXITING!) so then we eat in front of the tele! That is why we prepare the Tartar Sauce today. By tomorrow the sauce is ready because the flavors can blend in advance.
This is how you make Tartar Sauce
Boil the eggs for 10 minutes.
Chop capers, pickles & shallots.
Add it to the mayonnaise.
Stir, season with salt & pepper.
Add lemon juice and parsley.
Chop the eggs finely.
Fold the eggs into the sauce.
Spoon the sauce into a sealable jar.
Put the Tartare Sauce in the fridge until tomorrow.
