The Midsummer Tomte and the Little Rabbits

For us, the most beautiful gnome books ever written are the Tomte books by the Swedish author Ulf Stark. His books have real stories, short but so beautiful, sweet, and funny. Here they have been read aloud many times, but for our little monsters, never often enough.

The books have been beautifully translated into Dutch by translator Jan van Marken, but unfortunately... they have been sold out for a very long time. Fortunately, the Dutch Library, with foresight, purchased many copies, so you can most likely borrow the book in Dutch from the Library as well.

And we haven't even mentioned the beautiful drawings by Swedish illustrator Eva Eriksson yet. She has won various awards (most deservedly, in our opinion!) for her stunning work.

You would love to frame these pictures to look at them every day—they are so beautiful! We wish every child in the world could grow up with the magical stories and art work by these two people.
