Shopping list
150g butter
100g soft white sugar
2 packets vanilla sugar
a pinch of salt
1 free-range organic egg white
200g plain flour
Mix the butter until soft then add the sugar, salt and vanilla sugar.
Then stir the egg white into the butter mixture.
Keep folding until all ingredients are well combined.
Add the flour gradually and fold it in too.
Preheat the oven to 150°C and place baking paper on the baking tray
The dough looks like this now.
Spoon the dough into a piping bag.
Pipe the cookies on the baking tray.
Bake the spritsjes in 15 minutes light brown.
Our Utrecht spritsjes may not look pretty but they taste really good!
