Shopping list
500g potatoes, sliced
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
3 hard boiled eggs
for the dressing
spring onions to taste
3 pickles
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 garlic clove
some freshly chopped flat parsley
sea salt & freshly ground black pepper
Make the American potato salad a day in advance, then the flavors blend which makes the salad taste better. In the photo above on the right: 'doggy bags' (plastic containers by AH)
How to make potato salad
Peel the potatoes, cut into slices, then wash them.
Boil the potato slices for app. 10 minutes al dente and place them in a bowl.
Stir the vinegar in the potatoes with a rubber spatula and let them cool.
Place the ingredients for the dressing in a bowl,
Mix everything combined and fold the dressing into the potatoes.
Peel the eggs, chop them and fold them gently into the potato salad with the spatula.
Cover the bowl with cling film and place it into the fridge overnight.
The salad tastes very good with the burgers we make tomorrow!
