For the stir fry
500g pork tenderloin
100g fresh pineapple, in chunks
½ a yellow,
½ a green
½ a red bell pepper
1 shallot, finely chopped
1 clove of garlic, pressed

For Chinese New Year we make today Pork in a sweet & sour sauce. According to De Spruce (American food site) number 1 on the top 9(?) of best dinner-party dishes in China. Hmm ... anyway, the recipe looks really good!
How to make pork in sweet & sour sauce
Start by making the sauce
Place all ingredients except the paste in a sauce pan and stir.
Then stir in the corn starch paste, be careful of lumps.
Bring the mixture to the boil but keep stirring.
Allow the sauce to simmer until it is reduced to thick and sticky.
Keep stirring continously to prevent lumps forming! Turn of the heat when ready.
Make the marinade
Cut the pork in generous cubes.
Press the garlic in a bowl.
Stir in both soys, vinegar, pepper and 5 spice.
Fold the pork into the marinade, cover it with cling film and allow it to blend for 10 minutes
Mix the beaten egg with the corn starch.
Stir it into the marinade with the pork.
- Cover the pork again and allow it to marinate for 30 minutes more in the refrigerator
- Meanwhile cook rice, then you can start with the stir fry
Fry onion and garlic soft.
Add peppers and pineapple and fry.
Fry the pork until pink.
Add it to the vegetables.
Add the sauce and stir it in until all is hot.
Serve the stir fry on a bowl of rice.
Lekker, optional you can sprinkle on white sesame and serve pickles on the side
