What a fun book, and what fun parties! The little monsters immediately get into the spirit and think we really need to expand the holiday season on Snazzie. :))) We read about some of the lesser-known parties that are also a lot of fun, especially for the younger monsters. They think the Feast of the Dead is really cool, with the beautifully decorated skulls. And what about the monkey buffet? They think it's really funny!

The are also celebrations in the book we know by name, but that aren't celebrated in the Netherlands. Taking the photos for this blog was quite a task; there were many different opinions. One person thought it was fun to introduce these unfamiliar parties to Dutch children. Another thought the beautiful illustrations of festivities that are celebrated here should be included in the blog. You can see below what we ultimately chose.
