For Pakjesavond we make a Sinterklaas board, also called a grazing (?) or snack board . The ingredients on the shopping lists are completely to the taste of our mini-monsters. The beauty of such a board is that you can put whatever you like on it. No recipe for the croissants attached, they go without saying. There is one for the cheese letters attached, although they actually speak for themselves too, that easy ;))
How to make mini sausage croissants
This is what you need.
Drain the sausages.
Cut the croissants.
Roll the sausage in the dough.
Preheat the oven to 200°C and place waxed paper on the baking tray
Bake the croissants until cooked in 10 minutes.
Laat ze even afkoelen.
Do not turn the oven off, make cheese letters!
How to make Cheese Letters
Cut the puff pastry in half
Grate the Gouda cheese.
Grate the Cheddar cheese.
Mix and sprinkle on the puff pastry.
Place the second half on top.
Press firmly together then cut out lthe etters.
Brush the letters with beaten egg.
Bake the letters in 15 minutes golden.
Cut the run out cheese from the letters (the kids love to eat the leftovers)
Let the cheese letters cool slightly.
The letters disappear before they reach the board!
Happy Pakjesavond!
