100g plain flour
1 sachet vanilla sugar
pinch of salt
20g butter
2 tablespoons hazelnut chocolate spread
Bonne Maman chocolate mini-muffins

Smarties

This Sunday, we want to surprise our little monsters with fun pancakes. We're making snails out of them ;)) It's a small effort, but a huge pleasure, we already know. Cute snails, with (a little bit of) chocolate paste and a mini cake to go with it—that's extra delicious!

How to make pancake snails

Start with baking the pancakes, here's how to make the batter

Beat the egg until loose.

Beat in the milk.

Measure flour, vanilla and salt.

Sift it into the milk mixture.

Whisk the mixture until smooth.

Melt the butter.

Whisk it into the batter.

Melt a small knob of butter.

Ladle the batter into the pan.

Swirl the pan for the batter to spread.

Fry the pancake until alsmost dry.

  • Flip the pancake and fry it for a minute longer until it has a nice golden colour
  • Bake pancakes until the batter is used up in the same way, then you will have 4 large pancakes

Allow the pancakes to cool a little.

Place 2 pancakes on top of each other.

Spread a thin layer of chocolate spread on top.

Roll the pancakes and then cut it into 6 rolls.

Cut the Mikado sticks up and stick 2 into each cake.

Place the mini-muffins against the rolls and stick eyes on the 'heads'.

We're already making a trial run for the upcoming Easter Breakfast at school, then we will bake 3 times the amount of pancakes in this recipe ;)))
