We're beaking sweet waffles for Carnival

and they are dicicious!

Shopping List
380g flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
Pinch of salt
2 tablespoons caster sugar
2 organic eggs
380 ml whole milk
6 tablespoons oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Toppings
Icing sugar, Gold- or maple syrup
Any fresh fruit
Whipped cream

We have plenty of time this weekend to make something delicious for everyone, and today it's sweet waffles. You can top them with anything you like. We always have icing sugar and syrup for the little monsters. But we also enjoy some fresh fruit with our waffles. Everyone even refused the chocolate shavings. :))

How to bake sweet waffles

Mix the flour with baking powder, salt, and sugar until combined.
 
 

Beat together the eggs, milk, oil and the vanilla extract.

Then fold in the flour mixture until you have a smooth batter.

Now you should have a smooth but thick batter.

Preheat your waffle iron

Lightly brush both sides with butter.

Spoon batter in up to beneath the edge.

Bake the waffles until both sides are golden.

The little monsters like to have icing sugar on top.

Grandpa prefers maple syrup on his waffle.

The older monsters and we enjoy our waffles decadently with whipped cream, but fruit on the side is a must! The chocolate may be skipped ;)))
