What do you need?
yellow knitting cotton
knitting needles 2.5
big darning needle
filling, like fiberfill or cottonwool
a string of blue knitting cotton
a string of orange knitting cotton

Knit a chick home

Little chicks to decorate Easter twigs are quickly knitted, you only use the knit stitch. Easy peasy and cute!

How to knit the Easter chicks

Cast on 12 stitches.

Knit stitch back and forth.

Knit 8 needles.

Do not tie off.

Cut off the thread you are using to knit at 15cm. Stick this thread into the eye of darning needle and pull it through the knitting stitches.

Pull the thread tight.

Close the longer side.

Fill on the topside with cotton wool.

Close the top side too.

Cast on 2x4 stitches on 1 needle.

Knit stitch 4 needles.

Tie off the 2x4 stitches.

Make a loop by sticking a yellow thread from bottom to top and back. Tie the ends in a knot on the bottom.

Sew the little wings onto the body.

Embroider feet, beak and eyes on.

Enbroider a beak and two blue eyes.
