Mojito for two
130 ml white rum
1½ limes into quarters
fresh mint leaves
30g caster sugar
ice cubes
soda water to taste
Margarita for two
4 parts Tequila Reposado
2 parts Cointreau
2 parts lime juice
2 thick limo drives
salt
ice cubes
and a cocktail shaker
Not for kids but lovely for Mum and Dad on a kids-free weekend!
How to make a Mojito for two
In two sturdy, chilled glasses you place a quarter lime, a mint sprig and half the sugar. Stamp on the lime and mint to bring out the flavours.
Drop the ice cubes in the glasses and pour the rum over it.
Serve with spoons and soda water, then one can top and stir to taste.
How to make a Margarita for two
Pour the Tequila, Cointreau, lime juice and ice in the cocktail shaker.
Shake the cocktail ingredients vigorously.
Wet the rim of the chilled cocktail glasses and press them in salt.
Pour the Margarita's into cocktail glasses then stick a wedge of lime on the rims.
