275g flour
100g caster sugar
100g soft butter
1 free range egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
powdered sugar (optional)
With the cookie cutters from Ikea, you can effortless create the most beautiful animal biscuits. We use our basic vanilla biscuit dough, easily made and very popular with the kids.
How to make the winter animals
Place butter and sugar into a mixing bowl.
Mix butter and sugar creamy.
Add egg and vanilla and mix.
Sieve in the flour and mix.
Sieve the flour in in small parts at a time and mix it into a dough of big crumbs
Knead the crumbles smooth by hand.
Wrap the doug in cling film.
Place the dough one hour in the fridge.
Preheat the oven to 190°C
Roll the dough to 1.5 cm thickness.
Place the biscuits 30 minutes in the fridge.
Bake the biscuits for 10-12 minutes.
The biscuits should be light brown.
The brittle vanilla biscuits taste delicious with some hot or cold milk. Keep the biscuits fresh in a biscuit tin.
