Now that the baby dolls are ready, we'll make a bed for them, so they can take turns taking a nap. We'll make the bed from an empty matchbox (recycling) and then we'll sew a little mattress, a duvet and a pillow. How peaceful it will be here later, when the babies are sleeping soundly ;))
How to make a bed for the baby dolls
Tie off the embroidery yarn and then cut the thread off.
Pin the felt tightly onto the matchbox.
Lace the thread into the needle and tie a little knot in the end.
Sew the felt closed with the well-known blanket stitch.
Embroider another 2 small stars on top of the box.
The outside of the cot is ready, now you make the bedding
How to sew the mattress
Measure your fabric on the box and cut it off
Fold and pin the fabric inside out.
Stitch both the pinned sides and fill up the mattress,
Fit the mattress in the box and sew it closed.
Tie off the sewing and cut off the thread.
How you sew the blanket
Fold the fabric in and pin it onto the piece of felt.
Leave the short side 1/3 longer on one side, to fold it over.
Sew fabric and felt together with embroidery yarn and the blanket stitch.
Tie off and fold in the seams.
Flip the fabric over and sew it with tiny stitches.
Fit the mattress and blanket in the box.
Sew a tint cushion exactly like you made the duvet.
The little bed is ready, now just wait your turn!
Have fun with your dolls bed!
