We’ve previously made a lovely paper lotus flower for Diwali. The paper flower was beautiful, simple to make, and quick to finish. Today, we’re making a durable Lotus flower out of wool felt. We won’t claim this Lotus flower is quick and easy to make—because it isn’t. Is it difficult to make, then? Not exactly; it just requires a good deal of persistence—this flower has a lot of petals!

Here’s how to make a wool felt lotus flower

Print the petals on the PDF and cut them out
Pin 6 petals onto the felt.
Cut out the petals.
Pin on the hot pink petals.
Cut them out neatly too.
Pin a hot pink petal onto a light pink one, do all 8 in the same manner
, thread the needle.Split the embroidery thread.
Tie a little knot and tie on in between the petals.
Sew them together using the blanket stitch.
Leave the underside open.
Stuff them  thinly using a little wool.
Sewhe underside closed and tie off.
Sew all the petals in the same way.
We place the dark side downwards..
Pin the 8 petals together
Cut out 2 times 6 light pink petals.
Sew the petals together, stuff them and sew them closed, just like de previous ones
Pin the 6 petals together as well.
Cut out 4 pink and 4 white petals.
Sew and fill them, like previous petals.
Sew the 8 petals flat, like a wreath.
Sew the petals together like a wreath, sew the 1st row and then the 2nd one in the same way.Sew neatly over the stitches that are there already

Leve a round opening in the middle, for the tea light. Sew the third row of (4 ) petals onto the 2nd row, fasten them only in the open circle.
Sew the 4 petals onto the 2nd row; sew them within the open circle.
Place your candle in the wide shot glass, inside the Lotus flower.
Happy Diwali
