Today we're making a little garden to go with the dollhouse, also out of chipboard with a picket fence around it. We've already made a small door and a mailbox on snazzie, some time ago, and they're coming in handy now! We're laying a path to the front door and painting the grass. The monsters love the garden and the door. The fact that the door actually can't be opened doesn't bother them; they just pretend play. :)
How to make the little garden
Saw a piece of chipboard of 15x cm and paint it green.
Paint some lighter green paint in between, here and there.
Skip a bit on the short side, where the fence opening will go later.
Allow the paint to dry comepletely.
Here you see how we made the (faux) door.
How to make a mini letterbox.
Place the garden against the house.
Spread glue on the back of the door.
Press the door on the house.
Put on a glue clamp.
While you let the glue dry completely you make the fence around the garden
Saw 2 times 4 slats the circumference of the lawn and sand them.
Saw many slats of 5.5cm and sand them smooth too.
Glue the fence together and let the glue dry well.
Paint the 4 parts of the fence neatly white, or in a colour of choice.
Glue the fence neatly around the edge of the lawn and allow the glue to dry overnight.
Hang the letterbox and stick on a path to the door.
What a lovely garden!
