What do you need?
A piece of stiff cardboard
A glass
A pencil
Scissors or a utility knife (for adults)
Embroidery thread or knitting cotton, various colours
Today we are weaving beautiful coloured stars, from which you can easily make a necklace or keychain. It is not complicated and you can try out for yourself what your star will look like.Pick out some nice colored thread and get started; you will find it such a fun craft that you surely want to make some more stars.
Here is how you make these stars
Trace a circle around a glass.
The exact size does not matter.
First find the center.
Draw a vertical line.
Divide the circle into 4 points.
Then divide the 4 into 8 points.
Now make 8 small cuts in the lines.
The base of your star is ready, now we are going to make it beautiful.
Wind from the top straight down.
Go on to the next cut and repeat.
Go on this way until the circle is filled up.
The back of your circle looks like this now.
Turn your star back to the 'good' side and reapeat the whole process
Now your star has double threads on the 'good' side
When you turn it the star on the back is complete.
Wind purple over pink in the way you began weaving.
Hang your star on a suade hoelace or make it into a keychain.
