How to make windsocks

It's Fourth of July in the USA

What do you need to make a windsock?
a toilet roll
red, white, and blue crepe paper
a sheet  white printer paper
a star punch
scissors
craft glue
a pricking mat with a piercing tool
a piece of string

For the Fourth of July, we are making windsocks today, in red, white, and blue with white stars—perfect! Making a windsock is a fun craft for the monsters, little and large. The windsocks look very festive in the garden. You don't need much material, it's easy to make, and you can do fun experiments with it but It does need to be a bit windy for that though, but we are lucky today, just look at the photos!

How to make a Windsock

Paint the toilet rolls, red, white, or blue.

Let the paint dry well.

Cut strips of crepe paper (2cm).

Punch out little stars.

Stick the stars onto the rolls.

Combine the strip per 3, into red, whit,  blue.

Stick the strips together.

Glue them into the bottom of the roll.

Poke 2 holes in the top.

Lace string through the holes.

Tie a knot inside.

Let the glue inside the windsocks dry completely.

Then hang the windsocks outside and see what the wind does!

Have lots of fun on the Fourth of July!
