Discovery in the Woods

We are reading such a fun book to the little monsters—on St. Patrick's Day—and it is called Discovery in the Woods. As you can imagine by reading the title, the book hasn't been translated into Dutch, but it is an easy read. The book isn't illustrated either, and that is usually very disappointing for the younger monsters. They are visually oriented, the children of today.

But with this story, there are no complaints, because at the front of the book is explained how you can visualize the story: in your own head! Isn't that fun! After reading it aloud, there is immediate bustle here drawing and comparing what everyone's Plaagkabouter looks like. We are having a lot of fun with this book!

More plus points of the book: The author was a teacher but is now retired, which immediately makes it clear how well she writes for children. The book was self-published by the author, on Amazon, so you can buy it for a small price.

Finally: There are three more parts available! We are already curious to read how the story continues. even though it does not have an open ending. Because, quite honestly, we out-loud-readers also find the story very fun and original!
